Our Story

The first Inferno event was created by BCYCLET, a boutique bike store & travel agency in Geneva, in 2020. Basile & Thomas wanted to create an event they would like to participate in themselves. So they put the fun first. Inspired by ski mountaineering events, the first events were teams-only.

Konstantin joined BCYCLET, in the beginning as Social Media manager, in autumn 2020. He got successively more involved in the organisation of the Inferno, before taking over the lead of the then BCYCLET Inferno in 2023. The inaugural Inferno Swiss took place in 2024.

In November 2024, the Inferno Series S.à.r.l. was founded to grow the series in the 2025 season and beyond.

Meet the Team

Konstantin Kleine

CEO & Co-Founder

Konstantin is one of the Co-Founders of the Inferno Series and tasked with essentially everything. He will reply to your emails, builds the website, books the hotels, takes photos, plans the routes, drafts new events, and does everything else to make the Inferno Events the best possible experience for you.

When he is not working on the Inferno Series, you will find him on the bike, or working on a PhD in International Law.

Hugh Tingey

Co-Founder & Advisor

Hugh has ridden all the possible Inferno courses to date. He is a Co-Founder and advises on new events, courses, and everything cycling as much as his day job in a premium transportation company allows. You might also see him steering the broom wagon – he has a bus driver's license!
